Lesson 14: Bitcoin Is Winning. And It’s Still So Early

Preview

In the previous lessons we explored Booth’s rather altruistic arguments for Bitcoin. In those lessons we discovered the benefits of a free market economy, Bitcoin’s role in establishing the first global free market that has ever existed, the reality that only one system can ultimately win, and it is our own personal time and energy that will determine the winner.

In this next lesson, we turn our attention to another Bitcoin juggernaut: Michael Saylor. In this 2025 keynote address Saylor demonstrates the incredibly rapid pace in which governments, financial institutions, and private and public companies are increasingly choosing to turn their energy to the Bitcoin monetary system. He also shares his Bitcoin prophecy, where he thinks Bitcoin will be in 21 years, and why everyone involved with Bitcoin should be very, very bullish. Regardless of the noise around predictions, which are almost always wrong, pay attention to the signal. Every day, governments, financial institutions, and businesses are moving more and more of their time, energy, and resources into Bitcoin. The powers that be are moving. Are you?

21 Million Reasons You’re Not Bullish Enough

Key Takeaways

  • Bitcoin has entered a new phase of global acceptance. In just 11 months, political leaders, Wall Street, regulators, states, and international governments have increasingly embraced Bitcoin—treating it as the foundational, reserve asset of the broader “crypto” ecosystem and a legitimate monetary technology.
  • Bitcoin is decisively outperforming all other major asset classes. Over recent years it has delivered ~50–60% annual returns, far above the cost of equity (~13%) and traditional assets like stocks, bonds, gold, and real estate—making it the only asset that rationally justifies corporate treasuries and investors recapitalizing into it.
  • We are at an inflection point, with most of the world still asleep. Bitcoin is only ~0.2% of global wealth, yet has reached “criticality” as an unstoppable monetary network. Saylor projects a long-term path to $21 million per Bitcoin in 21 years (~21% annual growth, ~21 volatility), remaining the best performing major asset for decades.
  • Your edge is time, conviction, and strategy. With a 21-year head start, individuals and companies can build “machines” that plug into the Bitcoin network—using disciplined DCA, prudent long-term leverage, and business/equity strategies—to engineer generational wealth instead of relying on legacy 60/40 portfolios.
  • Volatility is the price of admission—and the opportunity. Bitcoin’s swings are not a bug but a feature: they keep out late, complacent capital and create room for early, convicted adopters. The call to action: ignore short-term noise, focus on the 21-year horizon, accumulate and HODL, and use this window to build a lasting legacy for family, community, and the broader Bitcoin movement.
